April 12th-16th, 2023 Azalea Festival: Wilmington, NC

The North Carolina Azalea Festival has been throwing the best party in the south for over 60 years!
The Azalea Festival has several events that cover a period of five days. Events include street fairs, concerts, coin shows, boxing matches, art shows, a parade, a circus, and tours of homes and gardens. The main event of the festival is the garden tour that highlights the Wilmington area’s most beautiful gardens.
The Azalea Festival began in 1948 as an idea of Dr. W. Houston Moore, M.D. Dr. Moore held a meeting in Wilmington’s Chamber of Commerce with leading civil club representatives to discuss and begin planning for the first Azalea Festival. The festival would take place in April 1948 and would serve the purpose of showcasing the beauty of the local gardens such as Airlie Gardens, Orton Gardens, and Greenfield Gardens. May 20-22, 2023 World Famous Blue Crab Festival
Visit the 40th annual Blue Crab Festival to experience the tastes and spirit of the Lowcountry. The event includes live music, kids activities, craft vendors and more. The event is kid-friendly and biker-friendly.

July 4th, 2023 Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Old Bridge: Sunset Beach, NC
Start the holiday right with a parade over the Old Bridge! Beginning at 9:00 a.m. members of the Old Bridge Preservation Society have planned fun and festivities for visitors and residents of Sunset Beach. With patriotic music playing and flags waving at the Old Bridge Museum, 109 Shoreline Drive W, Sunset Beach, there are a number of activities planned that are kid-tested and approved. Event's include a Children's parade over the Old Bridge, games and activities, and free refreshments.
