Our Rates & Policies

Room Occupancy

All rooms & rates are per night and double or single occupancy. Two adults per room maximum. This is strictly enforced. You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a room and we will require an ID upon check-in if deemed necessary.  See below for children policy.

We take a credit card to hold the room but we do not require a deposit. Payment is due at check-in. At that time, if you wish, you may change cards or pay with cash. Please keep in mind that we do have a seven day prior to arrival cancellation policy that you can read about below.

Check-in/Check-out

Check in after 3 pm. Check out by 11 am. 


Minimum Stays

Reservations require a two-night minimum stay spring, summer and fall.  We will accept one night stays mid-week in November, December & February.  Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends require a three-night minimum stay.

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation no charge will be made if the cancellation is more than 7 days prior to arrival. If the cancellation is less than 7 days prior to arrival, there will be no charge if we are able to rebook the room; however your card will be charged for any nights that remain un-booked. A valid credit card is required to make a reservation but we do not require a deposit.  Payment is made on arrival and your credit card must be present.

Taxes, Gratuities, & Credit Cards

All rates are subject to state and local taxes. Gratuities for the housekeeping staff are left to each guest’s discretion. Payment may be made with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.

Smoking

No Smoking allowed in any room or porch of our Hotel in Sunset Beach NC. The Sunset Inn is a non-smoking establishment.

Pets

No Pets Allowed.

To respect the rights and to ensure the health and safety of all guests, we do not allow "comfort, companion or emotional support" animals.  According to ADA, Service Animals are working animals, not pets.  The work or task that a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to a person's disability.  Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.  If you bring your emotional support animal to The Sunset Inn, you will be asked to leave immediately with no refunds.   

Children

Adults with children (twelve and older) must have prior approval before making a reservation. Families with children are limited to our lobby level grand rooms only and families with two children are limited to our two adjoining rooms only.  There will be an additional $15.00 per day charge.

In order to preserve the quiet & peaceful environment for all guests at the Inn, management has the right to refuse service to anyone.
