The popular Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run & Walk is coming up on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Ocean Isle Beach. If you're looking for a place to stay we have Sunset Beach North Carolina accommodations close by to offer you and your fellow racers. Check out our special rate structure based on arrival date. It’s still early in the season to get reduced rates so you can save a bundle when you stay with us.

Our Sunset Beach North Carolina accommodations will have you in close proximity to the events taking place during the pre- and post-race Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run & Walk. We know you’ll want a comfortable place to lay your head when you’re done the race and we have that. Stay as little or as long as you like. We offer an expanded continental breakfast, served from 8:15 to 10:00 a.m. each day in our lobby along with free internet access.

The Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run & Walk begins at the Winds Beach Resort at 310 E. First Street, Ocean Isle Beach. Registration onsite is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Runners start at 9 a.m. and walkers start at 9:15 a.m. Race entry fee is $25 until March 7 and $30 Day of Race. Children 12 and under, $15 until March 7 and $20 Day of Race.

The following awards will be issued:
Grand Prize: Overall Male & Female Finishers will win a Free Night’s Stay at the Winds Beach Resort.
“First Time 5K”: This is awarded to the Top 2 males and females over the age of 40 who are participating in their first 5K. 1st Place wins a bicycle. 2nd place wins a 1-hour massage.
Top 2 in Age Group per Gender: 8 & Under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
