Come out and enjoy the Light & Train Spectacular on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Wilmington Railroad Museum, Wilmington, NC. More than 15,000 lights will be displayed for your enjoyment. Santa will be on hand and there will be cider and cookies, too. Price: $5 general admission; free for children under age 2.
A short drive south the Carolina Opry Christmas Special takes place at 7 p.m. through January 5, 2013 (excluding Sundays) at The Carolina Opry, 8901 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC. A holiday tradition for over 26 years, The Christmas Special brings the spirit of Christmas to life with music, comedy and dance. Referred to as “The Holiday Show of the South,” this show is at the top of every Myrtle Beach Holiday itinerary. The Carolina Opry Christmas Special is the original Christmas show in Myrtle Beach and has been a perennial vote leader as Best Holiday Show in Myrtle Beach. Shows run November 1 through January 5, 2013, with regular evening performances and selectively scheduled matinees.
